Abstract Today we are facing environmental challenges that include climate change and energy security, degradation, water food overexploitation of all natural resources other pressing issues. The participation D.Serikbayev EKTU in the Green Metric world ranking has become basis for strategic development university to maintain sustainability campus. Systematic work improve indicators questionnaire provided not only a worthy position (123 place) among almost 1000 universities world, but also allowed increase share buildings where “green” “smart” campus technologies implemented, thereby reducing resource consumption. results achieved field show purposeful ratings can lead desired terms friendliness.
